I had a pretty good (I think) interview for a staff position (senior experienced hire) a few weeks back. I am waiting to hear back (verbal offer). I understand that LANL moves slowly and 4 week post interview silence is normal. Is there any point in following up with the hiring manager (since it won't change the outcome)? I am thinking if I follow up with the hiring manager I would atleast get a hint based on their reply - if I can expect an offer or they passed on. How does the long weekend (Memorial Day) affect the timeline?
