Being Offered a "Freelance to Hire" Role. What Questions to Ask During the Interview

I've been unemployed for a few months now, but good news is that I recently found out I am getting offered a "freelance to hire" role as an account management person at a small agency in the US. I have a meeting coming up with the agency team and I'm at a lost of what questions I should ask as I negotiate.

I've only worked full time roles for the last 9 years so I'm not sure what questions to ask to ensure I'm getting a fair shake

Right now the questions I have are:

  • What projects will I be working on?
  • How many hours a week will I expect to be work?/What are the minimum and maximum hours expected per week?
  • How long is the initial freelance/contract phase?
  • What happens if I'm not converted into full time? Do I continue into freelance or does the working relationship end
  • What is the expected base salary if hired full-time?

I'm also trying to figure out how much to ask for as an hourly rate. But I'm still trying to calculate that. At my previous role, I was making $95k a year before taxes

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
