Giant Propel Frameset is offset
So I received my second Propel frame set in June after the first one arrived with a paint chip on the head tube (replaced under warranty after a 4 month delay)
Been riding it a little over 3000km since with no issues (or so I thought)
Drove to Aix en Provence yesterday for a bike fit with a famous French bike fitter. After first analysis I told him I felt like I was leaning off to the left, like I was tilted over. He assured me the platform was level and the Kickr was also level (using spirit levels)
He told me to jump off the bike and look at how deformed my saddle was on the left side, it look ridiculous, and after only 3000km of riding, the saddle looked un usable. I hopped back on the bike and again I said it felt like I was leaning off the bike, like I was gonna fall off if I leaned any more to the left..
This gave him the impression it was my position causing this.. he put his laser at the back of the bike, shining up through the centre line of the turbo and through the centre line of my seat stays.. and by the time the laser was at my saddle, the laser line wasn’t even touching my seatpost anymore.
It appears that the frame isn’t seated straight.. he tested other bikes to prove my point. He’d never seen or heard of this problem before.
Has anybody else had this issue?
