one of my classes is using honorlock for exams. But is bypassing this as easy as just making sure the camera is pointed right at your head, (and maybe your shoulders a little bit to make it not as sus). and then just taking pics of the questions wiht ur phone and plugging them into a AI search engine? and maybe putting down a cloth or pad so when you set your phone down it doesn't make a sound. Hey guys, I was supposed to have an Certified Solutions Architect Professional (SAP-C02) exam today but my proctor ended it 20 minutes before the start. I'm not sure what was the reason.
On the check-in process, I got a message on my phone that there's something wrong with uploading my passport photo and I need to go back to the desktop app. In the desktop app, I've seen a message like "your proctor ended your exam, please take a survey". I contacted the Pearson's OnVue support and it took about 20 minutes for them to create a support case. BTW, do they *always* ignore the details that you provide and just propose you to "try to restart"?
So, did someone have the same situation? Do I get it right that they'll offer me to reschedule my exam and it's going to be alright?
UPD: And yes, I had a chance to reschedule the exam myself a few minutes before the start but I received "I need a few more minutes to solve your problem" messages in the support chat and I hoped that they can help me. So if you are in the same situation as me, try to reschedule the exam in parallel with contacting the support - it seems to be more efficient

Just wanted to put this post up as I had difficulties with the OnVue application on my test day and had to reschedule.
I originally booked my exam on Friday at 8:00 pm. I checked in 30 minutes early so I could get into the proctor queue and have everything setup.
I performed the system check multiple times before the check-in and it said all good. When I go to check-in and perform the system test all of a sudden the webcam streaming isn't working. The proctor is telling me she can't see me at all and to restart the application.
After several attempts to reconnect my webcam which was working completely fine before and also restarting the application I had to reschedule my test.
Looking at some other reddit posts there are several things you can do before the actual check-in to make sure it's all good.
After I did all this I was able to check-in to my exam no problem.

Yesterday, after checking in for my DVA-C02 examination, I encounter some lagging issues the moment the first question appeared on screen. Everything was extremely slow (clicking on one of the radio box options, spinning cursor every 2 seconds...).
I used the same MacBook Pro to pass the SAA (1 month ago) and CCP (2 months ago) before without any issues. I wonder if this was because of the last update of the software...
After discussing with the Proctor, we decided to cancel this examination and I will get an email in the coming days after they figured out what happened that day. I cannot reschedule my exam right away and apparently need to wait them to contact me... I am a bit frustrated because I was so ready for that examination...
Did someone else encounter the same issues recently? Is there a problem with MacOS? Thank you in advance?

So after waiting for that email from Pearson, I managed to reschedule the DVA-C02 examination and passed with a score of 885 🎉 This time, I went to the examination center directly!
I followed the ACloudGuru course (which was for DVA-C01 originally but I noticed after watching everything that it has become outdated...), then bought the course from Mareek on Udemy and finally crammed the mock examination from Neil Davis on Udemy as well. The examination was quite easy and questions were very similar to what I could find on the mock examination from Neil Davis.

Had my SAA-C03 exam today through the OnVue proctoring process. I've never felt so frustrated and hopeless in an exam setting. I know my content fairly well and am getting above 80% on practice exams but today I faced many issues in the OnVue application.
Started off okay, got to question 8 with 15 minutes down and the application just froze so I clicked the chat icon and waited for about 2 minutes. Then the support person restarted my test and then I was back in after about a 5 minute wait. Got to question 21 and it did the same thing! So I tried the chat window again and the lady tried to add me back in but it wouldn't budge, she said she released my exam and then went away. So I tried it again and this time took around 10 minutes for support to get on. Eventually the app restarted but the webcam wasn't showing up and no chat icon... But I could answer questions so I kept going up till question 39 when it stopped working all together.
At this stage, there was still no chat icon and the way the OnVue app works is it prevents access to all other functions on your computer, not even CMD Q worked (macos). So I ended up restarting my computer and reloading the app only to be greeted by a support person complaining about some little pieces of paper on the desk or other things like wondering if my USB hub was another computer...
By this stage I am almost completely hopeless but I push on hoping that I can finish it quickly before I encounter another issue. I get the question 44 and it konks out again, so I go through the motions and the support guy told me he would put on L2 support, who tries to tell me it's highly unusual and that others havent had any issues (I call BS in my head because I see people queueing to get back in each time I restart). He tries some things on his end, doesn't work so tells me to restart computer. When I load back up, I get through 1 more questions before a completely new error shows up that says "Alert! An unexpected error has occurred!". After another 10 minutes with tech support, he ends up invalidating my exam and telling me that they will send an email through for instructions on how to do the in person exam.
How can a proctoring software be this bad? I tried going through the systems check with my windows laptop before the test but there were multiple issues so I went with my Mac notebook. My Internet is 100/40 so pretty good and I've seen many people complain online. Is there really so little competition in the proctoring space that this is the only provider to choose?
P.S. Sorry about the rant, I got out of the exam 20 minutes ago. Hoping the in person experience is better.

My final exam is next week and I have had trouble or else I will have to pay back all of the financial aid I have used over the past 6 yrs. If I can pass I’ll only have 1 class left until I graduate so this is very very important that I pass. It is an online class, and it is proctored, but I’m allowed to use notes. But with this teacher, every test this semester have been absolutely useless for her questions, so it’s as if I’m taking the test without them each time.
Are there any ways of getting around this or ideas anybody has possibly? If I could just use my phone and not be seen I’d be golden. I’ve heard though that they are able to check if you’re using your phone by your IP address and other things like that, however, I have a hotspot from a old phone company I used to use that is not the same IP address as my laptop is connected to.

Is there a reason no one has tried cheating by having another person sitting next to you - close enough to read the screen but out of view of the webcam, looking up answers and giving hand signals or something? This seems like the easiest method.
