Direct attack vs patrol of planes

When do you use direct attack vs patrol with planes ?

Here is what I figured out. Direct attack is great if someone have got interceptors, so you dont stay for long in the range where interceptors could catch your planes, also assuming you use strategic bombers over a really long distance.

Also, I have figured out something. Sometimes, having a lower level airfield is better. Lets say someone have got rocket fighters, you want to hit with strats a close zone, and you know you will be afk for two hours. If you got for patrol, you can get hit in patrol too by rocket fighters and take the equivalent of full damage every half an hour, so you will have full damage four times. But if you use direct attack, you will maybe have one attack at worst, so it is safer. Even safer if you have a longer refuel time, because you will stay safe for longer.

That leave you open for strategies based on knocking out airfields tho, against which you need patrol.

Also, is it true that in attack, you take defense stats against air, but in patrol offensive stats of the target ? If this is true, that mean that against medium tanks or artillery, you would take less damage in direct attack rather than in patrol.

Also, I would say, if you dont have a particular target or want to hit several target at the same time, patrol is better. Patrol also unable you to have a slightly bigger range.

To catch a fast moving units, I would actually use direct attack, so you give as much damage as possible while it is at range.

Triade tournament madness

Now that the tournament is over, I can probably share this screeshots. I was admin at the Triade tournament.

I have never seen this many interceptors in a single game, Poland had 70 interceptors and Japan 110 at least.

No wonder why they are the best in the world. Japan was played by Matt, officer from Kelly's Heroes, Poland by Ivan Bukovec, officer from Amerika Euclia.

The profile screenshot is like two hours into the game. I get it is a small world with a one day peace period, but it is like two hours after the war started, even less, I think.

What is the fastest conquest you have ever seen in ultra early game ? When I see this kind of thing, I really feel like there is a level above..

I am fighting a 3 v 10 so I need to save up my hp, and this guy pull that...that's not necessar:y gold, but man, that's annoying as hell, missiles are strategy killer in big enough numbers.

How the hell you capture 13 provinces in two hours ? This is on a small world during the Triade Tournament, people there are crazy, that farming speed is godly. The game started exactly two hours ago.

But they dont stack units somehow.

And it works.

Explanation : I realied I started upgrading my anti-air guns slightly off the center of the province, so they are locked there. I know that I have good enough stats so I can kill a nuke normally if I was at the center...but even though it is in my range, will a nuke take damage here ?

I hate nukes. Definitely.

Hi, I am planning on trying in some time again a WaW with pan-asian doctrine, the doctrine I use the least, especially on long games as I feel it is weak in long game, where heavy armor and high level planes are everywhere.

Do you have any advices on how to play pan-asian after day 16-20 or even 24 ?

Most of the time, I struggle with this doctrine in ultra late game.
