As a life long lover of retro futurism and the 1950s, fallout never appealed to me, despite that it fascinates me, so that is why I am here to tell of my ideal fallout
(Disclaimer: this will not be a mod or anything of that nature just a couple of disjointed ideas and a plot outline)
We start out our sordid tale, deep in the bayous of Louisiana, around 20 miles or so outside new Orleans, a half sunken vault, its number scraped off by hundreds of years of wear and decay. Inside the vault lives a fanatical cult built from an experiment from vault-tec regarding the devotion of the human mind to prophecies and legends (with one unfortunate side effect of the vault populace worshiping vault boy as their idol)
On one fateful day, one individual is sent outside according to the vault mother as initiation for their ascent, this is whom we play as. Forced from their room to walk into the great atrium to be marked by the vault mother, we customize and then see sent on our merry way
The vault nomad (as I call our main protagonist) is given a classic 10mm pistol and a pip boy to fend for themselves in the unforgiving bayou wastelands, encountering various settlers of the region and their quirks of habit, slowly uncovering a conspiracy about the fev making a intelligent plant lady that believes herself to be mother nature that are wrecking havoc on the bayou wastelands.
Companions include a BOS knight in search of purpose and honor, a botanist, a prewar ghoul who played jazz, and a Mr handy with a high charisma stat
There is also a radio station naturally, featuring a man from the former great city of New York named Jerry
Factions include the bayou raiders, BOS, the enclave (they exist but take a backseat), mother nature and the children of atom
Tell me what you guys think, it's not really meant to be anything but a fun concept
