Kroger Savings Club

I received an email for the Kroger Savings Club class action settlement. I have a notice ID and a confirmation code in the email. However, I have no idea why I would be on their list for this settlement. There's a part of me that thought maybe I'd file anyway since they think I'm included, but then I wonder how much they double-check the info.

Coverage for newborn being denied

My daughter recently had a baby. She has health insurance through her employer and lives in Oklahoma.

When she had her first child, she was employed at a different company. That child's birth, care, and stay was covered under her insurance policy. Then she applied for Soonercare for him going forward. Apparently, she did not qualify for Soonercare prior to his birth.

So, for this child, she asked her HR if the newborn care would be covered on her policy or did she need to add her for the bills to be paid? They told her she did not need to add her to the policy unless she was going to keep her on longterm. Which, seemed accurate to her since that's how it worked with her first child.

Now her newborn bills have been denied by her policy, saying the newborn needed to be added to the policy within 30 days. This is costing her approximately $6000. When she brought this back to her HR's attention, they explained it in detail saying her policy doesn't cover a newborn child unless that child is added to the policy.

I feel like I'm either not understanding fully when I try to help research this for her, or the insurance company is denying coverage unjustly. From what I can tell, insurance covers a baby automatically for 30 days, and for coverage beyond that the child needs to be added permenantly to the policy. This is with BCBS, if that matters. What is the correct process?
