Hello! I am a non-resident here at Kyoto for my internship. I currently have a jpn address and phone number since I am staying a lot longer. I plan to declutter a few things before I go, is it possible for me to sell them at Book Off? Or do I have to ask a friend to sell them for me?

I tried registering at Mercari with no luck (IDK why it doesn't want to verify my number). Also, I just wanted to sell them even if I don't get a lot of money back, I think it's better rather than throw them and pay for it.

Any experiences with this? Thank you! Do you have any other recommendations where I can go besides Book Off?
