I received a positive Cologuard result on Mother's Day. I already have extreme medical anxiety and hypochondria so this was not the result I had wanted to see in an email on a Sunday at 6:00pm.

Fast forward to today. I had my colonoscopy and it was NEGATIVE for any polyps, just mild diverticulosis. The procedure was a breeze! The worst part was the prep and that wasn't terrible.

My advice....skip the Cologuard and go straight for the colonoscopy.

If you have taken the Cologuard and received a positive result, don't worry yourself sick like I did. After scouring different forums, I found the Cologuard is notorious for false positives. Breathe...then schedule that colonoscopy! ❤️
