[MEGATHREAD] Manchester, Wythenshawe Park

Hellooooooooo!

Already? Yes, already! Noticed quite a few questions and discussions popping up so decided to make the megathread now.

On Friday the 21st the Cure will play at Wythenshawe Park in Manchester, England. A bit closer to home for them.

We ask you to please use this thread to discuss everything related to this tourdate, to keep the subreddit from flooding and repetition. Everything related to this date posted elsewhere on the sub will be deleted and redirected to this thread.

In this thread you can discuss everything like tickets, information, gossip, anecdotes, stories and thoughts.

This thread will be updated with more info every time we get our hands on something.

SCHEDULE

16:30 Doors open

17:25 The Slow Readers Club

18:35 Slowdive

20:15 The Cure

Looks like an eventful day!

You can find more information about the area and the event here.

Weatherwise it seems like the UK has gotten out of the heat as well. It's raining all week, but as of now it seems like Friday will be one of the drier (or slightly less rainy) days. It looks like it'll be dry while they're playing and it's around 17 °C during the day, 16 when the Cure is playing and 13 when they end (Christ, that's practically winter), so you miiiight want to bring along a (rain)coat.

As of now no livestream has been announced. If you know or hear otherwise, please let us know below in the comments.

Let us know if you're attending or not and please be welcome to join us here in the comments to discuss this gig!

[MEGATHREAD] Way Out West, Gothenburg, Sweden

Hey!

Tomorrow is Friday the 14th and you know what that means...we're supposedly in love. Also, it's Sweden's turn to enjoy the Cure.

They'll headline the Way Out West festival in Slottsskogen Park in Gothenburg.

Please use this thread instead of flooding the sub yada yada...posts related to this tourdate posted elsewhere on the sub will be deleted and you will be redirected to the megathread, yada yada...

You probably know the drill by now, in this thread you can share anything related to this tourdate such as gossip, anecdotes, thoughts, hopes, pictures, footage and everything else.

SCHEDULE:

12.00 Doors open

23.00 The Cure headline at the Flamingo

1.00 Curfew

You could watch the Hives at 19.40 on this stage and wait it out, or shuffle to the Azalea stage to watch a bit of Nick Cave at 21.00. Make sure to be back in time for the Cure though!

Some more practical information about the festival can be found here.

The weather seems to be lovely, mostly sunny with a few clouds here and there, with 26 °C during the day and around 20 °C when the Cure starts. Make sure to put on sunscreen during the day (I once got terribly sunburnt in Norway when it was "only" around 21 °C, that Scandinavian sun ain't no joke)

AND THEN...we've got ourselves a livestream this time! Thanks to u/apartmentstory89, who was so kind to make a thread about this to share the news, we now know that the concert will be streamed live on Swedish channel TV4's digital app or online. It's called TV4 Play (yeah...don't read that out loud). It's free, but you need to create an account in order to use it and it might come with some restrictions on viewers outside of Sweden. You could probably bypass this with VPN or something else. Tips for the lesser digitally gifted fellow members are welcome! The website is as follows: https://www.tv4play.se/

The Cure themselves shared a link for a worldwide stream which can be found here

MERCH:

Shirt

Of course this thread will be updated once we have more info.

Let us know if you're attending and/or just join us here to share anything related to this tourdate!

[MEGATHREAD] Festival de Nimes, France

Hello lovely people of this sub!

We're back with another triple XL megathread! Tomorrow the guys will take the stage at the Festival de Nimes in France, but wait...they will repeat that on both Saturday and Sunday! So July 24, 25 and 26!

Please use this thread for all things related to these three dates. That way we can discuss it without flooding the sub and keep all the info accessible for everyone. Feel free to post questions, pictures, setlists, anecdotes and other thoughts.

For ticket sales, please use the other megathread which is pinned on top of the page right next to this one.

The performances all take place in the epic Arena of Nîmes, a massive Roman amphitheater built in AD 70 and remodeled in 1863 into a bullring. Sounds like the perfect place to see the Cure!

The official website doesn't have a complete timetable yet and I know ticketholders have received this vague timetable as well, so this is all that's known so far:

17.30 Doors open

19.00 Zelie, followed by Also The Trees

21.30 The Cure

Here is some more info about the dates featuring the Cure regarding tickets and all.

You can find more practical info about the festival, such as a map of the festival grounds, how to get there by public transport or car, instructions and rules over here.

As it looks now, there won't be a livestream for this one.

ARTE Concert or local broadcasters MIGHT show the highlights. Google says this is because of the historical location (which might be bull). Again, if anyone knows otherwise or if there's a fanstream, please let us know!

The weather looks a bit different each day, with boiling hot temperatures on Friday of about 35°C. As I see now for Saturday rain and thunderstorms have been predicted with a temperature of about 27°C, so you might want to bring along a poncho to keep those backcombed manes high and dry! Sunday seems nice and sunny, about 30°C.

Merch is up!

Poster

Shirt

This post will be updated with more information as we go along, such as the poster and shirt design and whatever gossip and news little birdies will whisper in our ears.

So come and join in on the fun again! Also let us know if you're attending!

[MEGATHREAD] Pohoda Festival, Slovakia

Howdy hey, we're back with another megathread. In this thread we discuss specific tourdates and you can share pictures, anecdotes, videos and other thoughts and things and bits and bobs.

Tomorrow, Wednesday the 8th, the Cure will be playing the Pohoda festival which takes place on Trenčín airport in Slovakia. Not only will they be headlining, but the Wednesday has been curated by them, which means you can enjoy Just Mustard, The Twilight Sad and Denis Bango hrá Fvck_Kvlt before the Cure will take the stage. This is an extra day to celebrate the festival's 30th anniversary!

According to the timetable, they will play from 21.30 til 23.45. As it's a Cure curated day, that gives possibilities for maybe a tour debut in the setlist?

Timetable:

09:00 – All car parks open (including Caravan and Car Tent parking) for 4-day pass holders and THE CURE Extra Day ticket holders

12:00 – Festival grounds open, including camping areas, for 4-day pass holders and THE CURE Extra Day ticket holders

18:00 – Programme begins on the ESET Stage (Just Mustard, Twilight Sad, Denis Bango plays Fvck_Kvlt)

21:30 – The Cure concert

00:00 – Afterparty in the SLSP Arena (Hiroko Yamamura), Curious City 18+ (Jimmy Pé), and Bazzookas Bus (Bazzookas)

On the festival's website, a FAQ specifically for this day has been created. You can find it here

Good news for all you avid watchers: Pohoda will be streamed by the festival itself!

It will be streamed through their official website

Their Youtube channel - this is not a link to the channel, merely information

Their Facebook account will stream some of the concerts.

Rádio FM will broadcast some of the concerts. As of now the Cure are not in that timetable.

Poster

Shirt

This post will be updated with new information every once in a while.

During the day it will be nice and sunny, around 23°, but by the time the Cure finishes the temperature will have dropped to around 13°, so you might want to bring a jacket or something.

Let us know in the comments whether you're going or not and join in on the fun!

[MEGATHREAD] Rock Werchter 2026, Belgium

Helloooooooo, another weekend, another festivaldate, another megathread. In this thread we discuss this specific tourdate and everything that has to do with it.

The Cure will perform on Sunday July 5 at Rock Werchter in Belgium.

Here you can find all practical info about the festival. The website is in Dutch so you might want to switch on the translation option on your phone or pc.

Werchter is a big festival and will be livestreamed, you can watch the Mainstage here It will be livestreamed, as the band just confirmed on Instagram.

If you can receive Belgium tv you can also watch it on Canvas. Studio Brussel is a radiostation which will broadcast live from the festival as well.

The Cure will be on at 22.30 and according to this timetable will be playing until 0.45.

It's a festival that's kind of similar to Pinkpop, so I'm guessing the setlist will be similar.

Edit: I'm absolutely knackered so please forgive me for any grammar or spelling related errors. I already took some of them out, but I'm sure there are more.

[MEGATHREAD] Belsonic, Ormeau Park, Belfast

Hello hello hello, on Sunday the 28th the Cure will play another date: The Belsonic Festival at Ormeau Park Belfast. Posting this a bit ahead as Littlefanggg and I both have busy weekends.

Please use this megathread to discuss all things related to tomorrow's tourdate, so this subreddit won't be flooded. Feel free to discuss general info, setlists, questions, pictures, anecdotes, thoughts and anything else related to the concerts.

Stage times:

5 PM gates open

6.20 PM Just Mustard

7.10 PM The Twilight Sad

8.30 PM The Cure

10.45 PM Curfew

So looks like the show will be 2 hours and 15 minutes long.

You can find more information here, like how to get there and what you can't bring along.

There is no official livestream, but BBC radio Ulster will broadcast the entire set live, so you can listen to it. Of course if you do happen to stumble on any footage, please share it here.

This post will be updated as we get more info. Hoping for another stunning poster and shirt.

Let us know if you are attending and have fun!

[MEGATHREAD] Blackweir Live, Cardiff

Another show, another megathread. In this thread you can share anything that has to do with the show in Wales tomorrow. Think of info, setlists, pictures, videos and just anecdotes.

It's going to be a hot one (in every sense of the word, really)! So be careful.

The organisers of the concerts have issued an urgent statement which you might want to read here

I added the schedule as well. The Cure are on at 8 pm and it looks like they'll be playing for 2,5 hours. However, with these temperatures you never know. Joining them on this night will be The Twilight Sad and The Joy Formidable.

We've seen a lot of posts from people who are selling their tickets, so I wonder if there's anyone on here going at all.

Please stay hydrated and put on sunscreen!

[MEGATHREAD] Pinkpop, Landgraaf, the Netherlands

Yes yes people, it's time for another megathread! This weekend we can enjoy the guys performing at the Pinkpop festival on Saturday and the Isle Of Wight on Sunday. In this thread you can share all your setlists, pictures, links, discussions and other thoughts so we can enjoy these dates together and keep this subreddit from cluttering.

So, they'll headline Pinkpop tomorrow and are scheduled to play from 10 pm til midnight (I hope they'll play longer, but this is what the schedule says). This weekend we'll be graced with livestreams for both festivals, so it's going to be great. I don't know where you are, but over here it's sweltering hot at the moment so sitting in front of the tv with the festivals and the World Cup on doesn't sound too bad to me!

You might have received the Cure's newsletter in your inbox in which they've send the links to livestreams for both dates. This link is for Pinkpop

Do you want to enjoy more of this great festival? Then watch the non-stop livestream here This is another livestream where the Cure will also be shown.

I will update this post once (if?) things like the official shirt and poster are shared.
