I’m building a GitHub-like JetBrains UX for Forgejo - looking for feedback

I’m building a Forgejo plugin for JetBrains IDEs with the goal of bringing a more GitHub-like UX directly into the IDE, but for Forgejo.

Plugin link: https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/31556-forgejo

If anyone here uses both Forgejo and JetBrains IDEs, I’d really appreciate feedback on whether the workflow feels useful, what feels missing, and where the UX could be improved.

As a small thank-you, I’m also happy to give a few months for free to people who try it and share feedback.

Thanks!

What does /goal do

I've seen a lot of praise for it, and people are absolutely losing it, but I can't see any advantage to it. I mean, to me, it seems like Codex is doing the same without it.

Codex app is freaking awesome!

Can't show anything because its work related but holy hell - i have been tasked with creating a mass production of Ai images in a pipeline which all look the same but with different products/themes/etc...

So basically what I did was creating a plugin which is just a bunch of markdown, scripts and a minimalistic website.

Workflow be like:

  • user tells codex: "create images with this input images"
  • codex creates plan
  • user approves plan
  • workflow is doing its thing
  • user sees progress on the website in real-time

And because the codex app has a browser integrated - its all IN ONE APP! It's so freaking awesome!

And the cherry on top - if the business case changes - the end user can change it by just talking to codex or codex implicitly adjusting it autonomeously!

Guys I tell you - the future is here!

(Ps: openai guys if you read this: please allow the browser websites to control the codex session)

Hey everyone,

I applied for monetization for my JetBrains plugin about a week ago. Initially, it said I needed to complete verification. I think the verification may have gone through now, but I’m not completely sure.

The issue is that when I try to test monetization, it asks me to use my product code, which in my case is "PFORGEJO".

When I compile the plugin with that product code, Rider sends me to:

However, that link currently returns a 404, so I can’t really test the monetization flow.

Has anyone run into this before? Is there usually a delay after verification before the purchase link becomes active (and if so, how long?), or am I missing a step?

Thanks! Jonas
