MoCa setup question - ISP chained multiple coax splitters with only one output used?

MoCa setup question - ISP chained multiple coax splitters with only one output used?

Hey all,

I've been studying up to set up a MoCa line on my home network, and when checking on my coax situation I saw that my ISP has this interesting splitter setup in the cable box. The source line runs into the 2-way splitter, which then has its one output connected to a 3 way splitter. A singular output connection runs out of the -7dB output on the 3-way and to what I assume is my gateway inside the house.

The way my amateur eyes see it, I can either:

  • Leave the signal pathway as-is and upgrade both splitters to be MoCa compliant, hooking my room's coax cable to either one.
  • Get rid of the 3-way splitter entirely and run everything off of the first one. Cleaner, but I'm a hesitant on this as I've heard that ISPs will use splitters in to weaken too-strong signals in a pinch. I don't know how significant that might be in my case.

Curious what you all think the cleanest solution would be, thank you.

Three Jazzmaster pickguards

Three new pickguards for a jazzmaster template available in Tigard! Mint green, white, and Parchment. These didn't quite line up with the cavities in my MiM vintera 60's jazzmaster. If I remember correctly, the reviews had better luck with squier or american made models.

cheap/simple way to de-ugly a peeling bumper?

Hey all,

Been driving this 2005 Durango for a while, and since I've finally bought something new I decided I'd gift it to a friend who's between cars and jobs currently. I'd been too lazy to do anything about the heavy peeling in both rear (and front) bumpers myself, but I feel bad passing it along looking like this. That said, I'm a complete stranger to anything bodywork related.

I thought of just taking an orbital sander to the rest of the paint, but I've noticed some red peeping through the black in some parts of the front bumper and worry that I'd just end up worse off. What would be a cheap method to make this a bit better? Or do I just need to cowboy up and take 'em in to a shop/learn to reprime and paint myself?
