Looking for advice on a drive
Hey everyone, just looking for some advice since I'm quite new to the scene and would like to start writing to some BD-R's for movies and files that I have. I apologise if this is not the place to do it. I see a lot of posts about peoples setups so just looking for direction.
I've learned that Pioneer is somewhat the go-to, or at least, seen it mentioned a lot for this type of thing for Blu-Rays. I don't have a player, only have a PS5 and Xbox Series X so this will be my main media player for these discs. Right now I'm working on a gift for the fiancée as well, which is a driving point, plus, it's fun.

Do I need to buy this or are there other models out there that are just as good if not better for better pricing? I don't mind paying that much, just want to make sure it's worth it. If you have any guidance or tips in general, happy to hear anything you have to say!

Edit: Are the Verbatim BD-R discs also reliable for writing?
