If I want to knock someone out, should I do amateur MMA or boxing?

Stupid question, but I just want to learn how to knock someone out in a competitive fight in the amateurs.

I trained boxing for a year and I was thinking if mma would be better for that goal because of the gloves.

There are more knockouts in amateur mma compared to boxing, right?

EDIT:

Firstly, I mean in a competition. I never hard sparred with anyone lol.

I did boxing and I did BJJ, wrestling and rugby.

I don’t want to actually hurt people.

I am ALSO just asking. I am not doing Boxing or MMA to KNOCK someone out. I have been doing boxing for years on and off. Knockouts don’t really matter to me that much.

I am asking where is it more likely to happen.
