Has anyone recently traveled to Big Bend on H1B/H4 with expired visa stamping but valid I-797/I-94?

How was your experience at the CBP checkpoints? Any issues or was it generally smooth? Planning for the long weekend. Everything booked but little concerned about what all documents to carry?
