Advice for getting traction on my first book Kickstarter?

Hi! I just launched my first Kickstarter for a completed LGBTQ+ college baseball romance novel called Shutdown. The campaign is mainly to help fund professional editing before I pursue the next publishing steps.

I already have three backers, which I’m genuinely excited about, but I’m trying to figure out how to build traction without being annoying or spammy.

For anyone who has run or backed book Kickstarters: What actually helped your campaign gain momentum?

I’m especially curious about traction for fiction/book projects, since I know it’s different from physical product campaigns.

Any advice is appreciated!
