I recently received my property tax notice for my 450 sq ft studio. The tax is $3600 ish. This seems high to me since my property is valued at $300K the most. How do I get someone to look over this?

Edit: Thanks for everyone's reply. I called Nanaimo and it went smoothly. What happened was that there was a some charges from the fire department or the city added on to my property tax.

I am travelling to Tokyo this year November coming from NRT. Which area do you prefer? Since I dont drive, i prefer to be near the skytrain and not too far away from major attractions.
