Do I even need a job?
I have a free Fall and Summer semester while I transfer from community college. I originally planned to get a part time job at a restaurant or retail for the next 6 months before I skedaddle but the market is awful in my town right now. So many fake postings and late interviews, interviews where the manager has no idea they have an interview scheduled. Hundreds of applicants for each minimum wage job, it’s just so bad.
I mainly wanted a job to fill my resume because I have no work experience besides a month long stint at a restaurant 5 years ago. I’m scared that I won’t be competitive for an internship without any experience at a job. I want to know if my fears are valid, I plan to spend my free time doing projects and learning skills regardless. I’m not really hurting for money as I mooch off my parents currently and would really like to not have to deal with this shit.
