Wubbox Hex Theory
Strap in because this is gonna be a long read :) This is a personal theory that I haven't really seen anyone else have so I decided to share it
During the Dawn of Fire on the Continent, a horde of the (hypothesised) Hex Monsters are roaming about, when suddenly, the ground shakes and sky splits, they try their best to flee with the rest of the Fire Monsters, but are one step too late. They all fall into the Living Ocean, forever seperated from the rest of the Monsters. Luckilt, a roaming Collosal, theorised to be Dulcetta, finds the Hexs at the bottom of the Ocean, still alive, as Monsters cannot drown. However, they hadn't quite adapted to being underwater, so they were struggling to move about anymore. The Collosal, sympathetic, decides to help them by turning them into Vessels for now, so that they wouldn't need to Wander about with no direction anymore. However, their vessels' whereabouts in the current day are unknown. The only thing we can do know is to wait for an intrepid Monster explorer to find those missing souls.
Cut to the present day. The Fire Monsters have been isolated for a long time. Now they are a completely seperate class from the Naturals, as their element has grown unstabler after years of no outward interaction. They live at peace now, though wondering why a Monster with all 6 elements doesn't exist (as far as they know). [kinda sounds like us doesnt it :)]
Then, a tap on the shoulder. Galvana wakes up, and realises all that it saw was just a dream, or was it? It all felt so real, but she checked up on the Continent and nothing was awry. It decided to be safe and try to save at least one of the Hexs by creating one itself. But alas, Starhenge doesn't have a Breeding Structure, so the Celestials has to start from scratch. It forsaw the split of Natural and Fire, so it wanted to create a Hex with the 'new' Fire Element to avoid confusion between monsters in the future. With help from Furnoss, they channelled their energy together to create this 'unstabler Fire' element. Next came a loud CLASH. They had succeeded! With a bit of energy from the Celestials of the other Natural Elements, Galvana fused the energy together, a bright light flashed, a surge of energy zapped outward, and huzzah! Out popped the Hex... wait.
What they had created was not the Hex that everyone else was used to. It was a completely different Monster, and didn't even have any characteristics of any of the Natural Elements. Instead, it looked more like a Mech Elemental, or even... the first Electricity Element Monster. They had thought about it before, creating a Monster in the Supernatural class, but the instability of the Electricity Element caused it to be immensely difficult to create from nothing, unlike the other single-element Monsters. Whatever. Maybe this try was just a fluke? They did the process again: BANG, CRASH, CLUNK, and... another 'fluke'. The Celestials tried again and again and again, but nothing worked. 'No matter.' they thought, 'I'll just start over, using the original Fire Element this time!' A BANG, CRASH... you get the point, and this time they were certain that it would be... another... fluke...? How??? It was the original Fire Element this time, that wasn't possible... unless, something about creating the 'new Fire element' or 'the Hex' had changed the fundamental nature of how the elements reacted when combined, as if they would now collapse into themselves, creating a whole new element...
'That's not ideal, but I can work with this.' they thought to themselves, 'if this... thing, is gonna be the "new hex", let's see what it looks like!' However, once placed down, they were shocked [haha get it] to find that the Monster... didn't sing! At least, not yet. Galvana peered inside the open 'mouth' of the 'Monster', and found that it required some more energy to 'activate'. No worry, Starhenge is full of power, so with a zap and a box, the very first Hex, no, Wubbox, had awoken. Galvana later created tens, hundreds, thousands of Wubboxes right up until BOOM. What they had forsaw was correct, the Cataclysm caused all the Hexes to fall into the Ocean, lost with direction. Since there was no Continent to power Starhenge anymore, Galvana couldnt risk using too much power from it, instead using the power to continue letting Starhenge float/fly. They used the rest of their time putting Wubboxes into Collosals' (now inside islands) heads, allowing for some to get the essences of their surroundings, but that's a different story for another time.
