Haven't read the Manga. Just talking from the POV of the anime.

Thorfinn took the complete non-violence way. Good for him.

Long term fans, what do you COMPARE the path of non-violence chosen by both Thor and Thorfinn?

1. Thor: Non-violent. But fights for the protection of the weak. No killing. Truly cares for his family.

2. Thorfinn: Non-violent. Probably would just watch the weak and innocent get killed, won't do anything except giving long + deep speeches, which in the real world, won't change a thing in the oppressors.

A less talked about aspect of Thorfinn I didn't like is, he not caring for his mother and sister for years. Without Leif, I doubt he would have gone back home.
