I found myself the perfect case that is small enough to fit in pocket , almost the size of an average tws case.

Context: I made a post after using chu 2 as my first iem for the first day where I just compared my tws and expressed that it wasn't feeling that big of an upgrade and it's just a little clear and better sound separation.

But this changes everything.

First things first DISABLE THAT FUCKING DOLBY ATMOS IN APPLE MUSIC, I disabled it this morning and see my change in opinion from the last post.

That thing was ruining my hi-res so much .

Secondly, If you can get a Apple device or a DAC , get it.

Even if I use my tws, I can feel a very big quality difference in apple music when using on phone compared to mac air.

Idk about dac I suppose it does the same thing.

(Also if anyone has any idea why my mac m3 prompts me to use an external dac when selecting hi res lossless, please lmk.)

Thirdly, Sound enhancer and Sound check.

Sound check mostly affects the audio as far as I have felt.

SOUND ENHANCER is controversial tbh. Allegedly it somehow digitally boost the bass and treble to make the audio feel spatial and well seperated.. its cons? You can hear echos of the vocals n instrument in that range that are there probably to add more to the spatial feel which to many will feel like their vocals sounding muddy.

I personally like sound enhancer, not a bass person so sometimes it gets them a Little above my liking in few songs, but the treble and the spatial feel , I love that thing .

Without sound enhancer it feels it's playing in your ears , with enhancer, it's in my skull and entire head.

I like songs with lyrics and vocals , so that spatial thing make me wanna cry 😭

Also I did comparison with the tws (oppo enco buds) , they are bright but chu 2 definitely has a lot cleaner and seperated audio.

Tws sounds like it's vocals are kinda mudded in bass and treble.

And if you are upgrading from those shitty boat or any tws like that, you will have an orgasam with the right tws 💀👍🏻

Got Moondrop Chu 2 (3.5mm) as my first iem. Have been using it for 1 entire day.

I don't even know if this sounds better or not, I do feel it's slightly better than my tws, maybe more clearer and better sound staging.

The stock eartips.... The worst thing I've seen they felt cheap , the sizes aren't great none of them fit or gave a nice seal, had to use some spare ones from my old tws.

I will use this for a week and then try music back on tws(oppo enco buds 2) to maybe notice more difference easily.

Tho I did feel some comfort issues. The earloop in these are quite agressive and will cause slight pain after few hours. Also the weight is much greater than tws so even ears can hurt. Tho after 6-7 hours of i feel good comfort.

(I have been using these with my mac air m3 without any dac)

Finally placed my order for my first (and hopefully last) IEM.

Went with the Moondrop chu2 3.5mm.

Hopefully it stays with me for years.

Would love you to drop some of your personal experience or tips to keep and maintain them longer or to get the best sound quality out of it.
