NEET feels like an unfinished chapter in my life

Does anyone else feel emotionally attached to NEET even without being fully sure about medicine anymore?

I genuinely feel confused right now.

Part of me feels like I should give NEET one more serious attempt because it feels like an unfinished chapter in my life. But another part of me isn’t fully sure I have the “doctor at any cost” mindset.

I’m also considering other paths like DU Life Sciences + maybe IITM BS Data Science, but mentally I still feel connected to NEET somehow 😭

It honestly feels like I had a situationship with NEET:
not fully committed, not fully broken up either.

What should I do? Should I take a drop year?

Need realistic careers advice for PCB student

I’m really confused about my career path right now and today is the last date for IIT Madras BS registration, so I genuinely need advice from people with experience.

My qualifications:

Class 12 PCB student (CBSE 2026)
Attempted CUET and performed very well

Background:

  • PCB student (Class 12 CBSE 2026)
  • Interested in Biology, biotech, foreign opportunities, and also somewhat interested in data science/AI
  • My Biology performance is strong, Chemistry decent, Physics average
  • I don’t hate medicine, but I’m also not fully sure that I have the “doctor at any cost” mindset

Current options:

  1. BSc Life Sciences at DU
  2. BSc Life Sciences + IIT Madras BS in Data Science together
  3. Full NEET drop in Kota

People who’ve done DU Life Sciences / IITM BS / NEET drops:
What would you realistically recommend and why?

Please give practical advice instead of “follow your passion” type answers 😭
