First Aquarium (3 months in)

Just wanted to show my first Aquarium to you all now that’s it’s had time to season. Some plants on the mid left had a melt back so it’s kind of empty on the left, but other than that I’m happy with its progress. Have never had an algae outbreak and only have one small patch that minds its own business on the wood.

Wanted to note slide 4-5 are just my personal favourite small details with the moss and liverwort that I managed to start growing on it. As well as slide 6 with the succulents that are still needing to grow in, but it will get there. Also hard to see but the under side of the wood base has a large shaded cavern area for the lowkey residents.

I’m also letting the mulm do the mulm thing so don’t mind the debris lol. Also the mopani wood is a tannin producing machine so if you’re not into the natural look of the water unlucky ig.

The inhabitants consist of 6 long fin albino cherry barbs, 2 Japanese amano shrimp, 5~ cherry shrimp, 1 neon blue goby, 1 bristle nose pleco, 1 nerite snail, as well as 1 small mystery snail I’ve seen twice and a lot of fresh water limpet (which I think keep the glass so clean) + hundreds of springtails ofc.
