I feel like myself again
I realized today that I finally feel like “me” again. While a huge part of that is HRT, it’s also due to lifestyle changes (eating healthier, exercising regularly, prioritizing sleep, seeing friends, engaging in hobbies, and finding joy in the little things every day). I even started knitting again, which I hadn’t done for a very long time.
Do I have bad days and rough times? Absolutely. I am still struggling to get my bipolar disorder under control. Sometimes my perimenopause symptoms ramp up. I still have to manage the day to day crap that comes with having a rare, incurable medical disorder.
But here’s the thing. I’m ok with it. I’m ok with this level of imperfection. Life is imperfect. And where I am now? It feels like heaven compared to where I was two years ago.
I feel awkward posting this. But I had to share my moment of joy and this group is where I feel the most safety and support.
I hope that everyone here is doing well or can find some peace today. Thank you for all that you have taught me and for all the support you so selflessly give.
Question about weekly patch
I recently switched to the .06 weekly estradiol patch, which I love. I’m feeling amazing (mood, brain fog, and sleep are fantastic) and I was pleasantly surprised to realize I prefer the weekly patch. (I still do well on the biweekly patch but the weekly patch feels stronger somehow and of course there isn’t a .06 dose of the biweekly.)
I’m looking for tips on making sure the weekly patch stays on, especially the stiff Mylan ones. I just don’t want to waste any patches during our endless patch shortage. Thanks in advance.
