Toronto nursing advice
I have a friend who is planning to move to Toronto and I wanted to see what you guys think of nursing here, mental health/psychiatric nursing specifically.
She’s currently in her final year of college in Ireland. During the degree she’s completed clinical placements/internships each year in hospitals, and her final year is essentially full-time placement working as a nurse.
We were wondering:
What is psych/mental health nursing like in Toronto?
Is there a strong demand for psychiatric nurses currently?
Would she realistically need experience working in Ireland first before moving, or do newly qualified international nurses get hired as well?
As you can probably tell I don’t know much about this at all so any advice insights would be greatly appreciated.
