I'm making a king-sized quilt for a man so I selected these fabrics from a curated bundle. All 49 blocks are completed I only have to sew them together and add a border. Here is a picture of 4 of the blocks sewn together. First time I ever used starch (Best Press). I ordered a clapper that will arrive this week in case I need it.

The pattern is called Hovering by Canuck Quilter Designs. I substituted a 8.5" square of fabric in place of the 16-patch. No other changes to the pattern except I added a row and column to make it king-sized.

Accidentally Cut Fabric of Block When Trimming Threads 😢

I accidentally snipped the fabric on an almost completed block. I had just finished ironing the block after a new piece was seamed on it. There were a few strings (from the fabric) sticking out through the seam. While snipping the threads I cut the fabric. Now I've got to take the block apart partially, add a new part, and resew it. Going to iron the other 35 blocks before I redo the damaged black. It's a king size shadow quilt (called Hovering) that has sashing and pieced cornerstones.😢

This is the pattern.
