Your burnout signs and what you do

Recently stumbled on a scale measuring burnout and a few other things. I think it was more broad than just for our line of work - think, inclusive to first responders etc.

the scale was *very focused on like, being affected by clients’ trauma. I’m not. But I feel like the scale was missing a special something something.

So, I’m curious.

What are your personal warning signs that you try to notice and what are your personal things you do as a response to that sign to either prevent/slow down/ or “treat” burnout?

I’m most curious for the non-traditional approach. Obviously “prioritize self-care” is drilled into us to oblivion. So I guess I’m looking for something a bit more in-depth. Think less “i do X consistently as a routine” and more in terms of your process once noticing a *thing. Orrrrrr something a bit more personal or even off-the-wall like a “I never would have thought of that, but it’s brilliant and I’m stealing it!” Moment.

I’m also open to the consistent practice pieces, of course. But I thought I’d be specific to see if I can get better inspo than what came up in every grad class and supervision session addressing the topic since then.
