looking for an area with either rental homes or luxury apartments that are very walkable. We’re hoping for a safe area with great sushi, fun brunch spots, cute coffee shops, and good happy hour bars all nearby. We’d love a lively, upscale vibe where we can walk and bike to most things. Thank you!
Hi! I worked for Starbucks for 12 years and left about 3 years ago. A lot of people I know still work there, including friends who are managers, and they’ve told me it’s changed for the absolute WORST. The expectations are impossible, the customers are even worse (didn’t even think that was possible), everyone is miserable, and they’re handing out write-ups left and right to anyone who breathes wrong (obviously exaggerated, but you know what I mean).
Is it even worth it anymore? I’d only be coming back for a few months while I get back on my feet and get my career started again. Is the pay really that much different between an SSV and a barista? Because honestly, if it’s only like $2 more, I don’t even want the stress of being an SSV. I’d rather just come in, make drinks, and fuck off.
