Wanted to share some upgrades my friend did on his Dodge Charger V6.
Mods:
- VT Supercharger — a classic Lysholm-style unit, small 0.9L displacement, spins up to 20,000 RPM. On the stock pulley it makes about 0.35 bar (~5 psi) of boost.
- Fuel Injector Clinic injectors
For reference, the engine is rated from the factory at 292 hp and 353 Nm (at the crank).
Initial results:
- 289 hp and 361 Nm at the crank
- 252 hp and 314 Nm at the wheels
Pre-final dyno results:
- Air-fuel ratio came out really solid — slightly rich under load at 11.8
- Zero ignition timing pull
- Injectors are running at about 50% duty cycle
Final numbers so far:
- 369 hp and 447 Nm vs. 286 hp and 360 Nm stock
- Gains of about +30% horsepower and +25% torque
Boost holds around 0.3 bar across most of the rev range, climbing to about 0.35 bar near 6000 RPM.
So overall, this build is a success. Next step is installing a smaller pulley to push boost up to around 0.5 bar (~7 psi).
