My wife and I live in the west coast and work in tech, and recently fatFIRED. We have a baby <1 year old.

We’re considering taking a break from working for the next year or two, and traveling. We love NYC and want to move there temporarily and have that as our home base (maybe stay there permanently if we like it). And spend extended time abroad, like Japan or somewhere in Europe (maybe one month at a time so we’re not overwhelming our baby).

I know stability is important for kids, so we plan to settle down somewhere by the time our child is ~4 years old.

Is this feasible with a ~1.5 year old? Any tips? Are we signing ourselves up for a miserable time?
