Camera vs iPhone
I currently have the iPhone 14 Pro. Thinking about upgrading to the 18 pro this year when it drops. I technically don’t need a new phone (my phone works just fine), but it’s definitely showing its age in terms of battery life and quickness with apps opening.
I used to have a couple old canon cameras (I have no idea what they are but they were like 2010-2014 era) and I loved them but I have no idea where they are in my parents house.
My ultimate question: do I spend money right now to buy a point and shoot camera for travel, everyday, hikes, etc., or do I wait to buy the newer iPhone in September and potentially get a great camera out of that as well and be able to pay it off over time?
Notes: I love the look of the g7x iii in terms of color science, zoom capacity, flexibility of shots, etc, but I can’t afford that price tag right now. I’ve looked at the Sonys and fujifilms but FF is too expensive, and the Sony I would want is basically the price of the g7x.
