Had the drain removed with Dr.S. No issues so far. Just noticed a small white thread kind of thing while changing the dressing today. Couldn’t pull it out fully. Is it some absorbable suture or something ?
What is the goal after capping ? To keep it capped for as long as we can or connect the bag for short time in between to keep the things flowing ? I been capped for last 2 days but wondering. Drain evaluation/removal next week.

The pain is so intense that I can’t walk or move. Have to connect the bag and open it and it slowly subsides.
Is this gallbladder spasm or something ?
After I flush the tube with saline, should I:
cap it immediately, or
wait for the saline to fully drain back out into the bag before capping?
Anybody else experience sudden sharp intense pain around midnight on days 4–5 after gallstone removal surgery? It happens while trying to sleep and suddenly shoots up toward my neck/shoulder area. The pain lasts about 15–20 minutes. I still have a drain in place. Wondering if this is muscle spasms, trapped gas pain, or diaphragm irritation after surgery. Did anyone else experience this? What helped?
