I plan to install my microlocs next week! What I am confused about is how to keep my hair from being extremely dry. I know my high porosity, low density 4c hair - it gets EXTREMELY DRY and feels terrible to the touch when it's dry. My scalp also gets itchy. So I'm supposed to use a clarifying shampoo and then ACV since and nothing else?

I feel like my starter locs will need protein deep conditioner, sealing oil, and a light liquid leave in.

My question is: are there exceptions to the rule for very very dry hair that locs/tangles EASILY. One of my main reasons for starting this journey is bc my hair locs effortlessly.
