Positive...so now what?

My doctor called and said we will do another pap in a year and monitor everything. Which is fine, but this is all still so scary to me. And how do I know what strain I even have?

For context, I've been with the same man for the past 8 years. I had sexual partners before him, but he was a virgin and swears he never strayed. That means I had to have gotten it before him and it never popped up, despite regular testing, until now.

That's all good and well, but after 8 years, I have never had a wart, and neither has my husband. Is that normal? Or does that mean this is high risk?

16, 18, and 45 are negative, according to my test, which I understand are some of the high risk strains.

I'm worried because my grandmother had uterine cancer and I have a hormone issue that makes me more likely to develop cancer (typically ovarian). I've started taking folates and vitamin B, but I have to be careful too because of my other health issues and the medications I'm on for them.
