Do I need a fourth post for my pergola build (see picture)
I would like to build a pergola on my deck (left side) here using 6x6 posts in each corner (in red), however my back right corner is blocked by kitchen extension so I would need some sort of beam holder. I plan on using 2 beams (in black) one in the back and one in the front connecting side posts and rafters (in green) from back to front beams. The yellow area is where Id have my post to hold the beam but obviously cant have one...
I am not sure what I could use to hold my beam in the back right there as I am not able to put a post there because of the kitchen bump-out. Any thoughts?
Extra info: rafters will be spaced enough for no snow load, 6x6 posts screwed into post brackets that are screwed into deck joists.
