Loans and Living Expenses

Hi everyone. I was recently admitted and I need to get a loan without a cosigner. However, I am an international student and I would like to know if you have heard about any options to international students without a cosigner to cover living expenses.

I know MPOWER used to offer loans but they said they're not offering to the University of Rochester anymore. I am very confused and concerned.

How have you been doing to cover living expenses there?

Rochester vs. GSU?

I would like to get some opinions. What would be the best option as an international student?

I am also thinking about location. Atlanta has a lot to offer and the weather is good.

I know the weather may not be great in Rochester and I worry about networking and job opportunities.

- Rochester (Simon Business School)

Full tuition waiver

I would pay for the remaining costs (fees + living expenses)

The lender is secured for the fees

- Georgia State University

Graduate assistantship would break the tuition

I would pay for around 60% of tuition + fees + living expenses

Im not finding lenders without cosigner

Hi guys.

I was admitted for the MBA at Georgia State, received an assistantship, and I also got a half tuition waiver. I would still need to cover the living expenses and the rest of the tuition + health insurance. I would like to understand if I'd make a good choice for enrolling there.

I am an international student, so I would need a loan of around 10k/14k for the first year. Then, I would have to get around 30k for the second year.

My only option for the loan seems to be Prodigy Finance, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to receive an offer because I am not from India.

Questions:

- I have a nice consulting background. Would the MBA at GSU be worth it even getting the loan?

- If I don't receive their loan offer, would it be too risky to go and try getting the loan later?

- would there be any other option for the loan? I don't have an american cosigner.

Thank you guys
