LVP over sealed cork?

LVP over sealed cork?

Currently have sealed, glue down cork tile flooring over wood subfloor. It's glued down really well, as I've tried taking up one tile. The surface is fairly flat as well. This is in a dry area, no humidity or water exposure.

I am wanting to install click and lock LVP in there, would it be alright to install over the current floor? The LVP I bought does come pre backed, i.e. poly backer on the planks.

LVP Layout question

I am trying to determine where to start in our bedroom with the LVP. This drawing is obviously not to scale and as basic as it gets, don't destroy me. (Yellow are windows/light source).

I was thinking of running the LVP planks parallel to the hallway and flowing into the room that way. Especially with the light source lining up with that.

My question is, should I just measure really well and start in a room corner in order to center the planks in the hall? Or do I start in the hall and flow out into the room?
