Reading this book is so joyful and funny, but the underlying sadness is all too apparent. I just wish DFW could have overcome the black presence. I personally have known several victims of depression and it seems like there should have been a way out in this book for him. But maybe reading it can help others idk. I can identify either way, and it definitely enlivened my life.
