This home was built in 1963. The screws point to that timeframe. Obviously missing the knob but does anyone know what this switch is part of?

I didn't use Duolingo before energy wasn't a thing but I just went from "Watch Ad for +5 energy" to now it's only +3! Times are tough but wow
