A consequence of the Michael Movie

A consequence of the Michael Movie

One negative thing I can say this biopic has truly done is that it has caused a rise of Joe Jackson supporters in terms of the Jackson five and Michael and Janet as artists.

Let me make one thing clear to them: Joe may have been the reason the Jackson 5/Jacksons/Jackson family were who they were but he is not responsible for who Michael and Janet ended up becoming. Without Joe, both of them were able to have significant control over their image and music as solo artists, which was made them the global icons we know and love today. If Joe was still managing either of them, we wouldn’t have the music from them that we have. That includes Thriller, Control, Dangerous, Damita Jo and many more.

Also he gave them significant trauma, especially to Michael. Don’t forget that part!!!!

Don’t let the fact that he was the reason for the Jackson’s Family success cloud the fact that he did a lot of damage to them in the long run. This includes emotional, physical and possibly intimate (this one relates to the girls, specifically Rebbie and Latoya but also possibly Janet but I haven’t heard her say anything), and mental damage.

Tucker from IAB

Idk if this is an unpopular opinion on this sub or not, but I just wanted to say that Tucker was not as bad as the cops on this show made him seem. At the end of the day, he was doing his job, just like all of them. The difference between how they do their jobs and how he does his is that he HAS to do everything by the book; he can’t afford to risk that with technicalities and loopholes. The only reason they hated him is because they constantly kept doing a lot of questionable procedures, which saw him constantly on their backs and making him a constant presence over there. Honestly if I was him, I would fired Stabler the first chance I got.

For years, I believed that the Bad Album didn’t win a single Grammy and was completely snubbed, when does not exactly the case.

I’m sure you guys already know this, so it’s not a surprise to you but I was shocked to learn that Bad, which was nominated for 7 Grammys total: Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Performance, Best R&B Vocal Performance, Record of the Year, Best Engineered Recording, Producer of the Year, and Best Music Video- Short form, actually won 2 Grammys, with Michael getting that for the Music Video ‘Leave Me Alone’, instead of the 0 that everyone has been saying.

I think because he didn’t personally win anything for Bad until 1990, people think the album didn’t win anything at all, which is not true at all.

I do believe though that there was deliberate riggory in the egregious snubbing at the 88 Grammys. Those people claiming that U2s album was better than Bad, when all of Bad’s are STILL relevant to this day AND the album had certified at least 10x platinum….yhhh cut the BS.
