Is it not reccomended to use AI for better phrasing in scientific papers?
Hello, I'm an mechanical engineering student that recently is getting into academia through some publications on both International and local engineering conferences, but that plans to start publishing in scientific journals in the near future. I think this sub is suitable for my question given that here I'm talking with people with experience.
English is my second language, and even though I can communicate with no problem, it lacks the polishment that I think its required to publish papers in congresses and journals, is it ok to use AI for better phrasing and more formal vocabulary, or is it bad practice? I feel my texts are comunicative and clear, but sometimes I fall into repeating expressions or using "limited" vocabulary, and AI would be a quick imediate fix for that, what's the academics opinion on that?
