Which laws do we actually follow?
So I’m currently in a spat with my (M52) wife (F61) on which laws we are actually supposed to follow, as I have recently brought up (Jokingly!!!) that I was groomed, as I was only 17 at the time while she was 26 when I started dating her In FH15 later being sent to NMC in Virginia to finish my recovery
We agree that because we were in Saudi Arabia that we would be following Saudi legal code or whatever which at the time had no established age of consent, but where our views diverge is when I was finishing up at NMC in Portsmouth Virginia, and at the time the age of consent was 18 in Virginia, so I’m saying that under technicality I was groomed where as my wife says that as we were already dating it couldn’t be considered grooming
So which is it? I know the statute of limitations is probably well expired but I’m intrigued now and want an answer
