Pills post surgery?

I recently had a surgery for endo excision and my surgeon recommended getting on progestin/ birth control or temp menopause inducing medication. Is this the standard procedure? And is this something I had to deal with for rest of my menstruating years(sigh)? What are your experiences with these pills for managing endo? Does it feel weird not having a period with these pills?

Losing weight post fibroid and endometriosis removal?

I have been trying to lose weight for over 2 years now but in the last one year I was able to get down 10lbs but it was harder than I was able to reduce couple years ago. I recently had surgery for both endo and removal of a submucosal fibroid. The more I’m learning about this condition it’s leading me to inflammatory issues and estrogen dominance and would like some advice on how to get the weight loss journey started again. After how long from the surgery can I start thinking about losing weight and what specific diet helps with history of these issues? Has anyone had success with weight loss post surgery did it make it easier than when you had the problem?

Fibroids and endometriosis together ?

I went in for a fibroid surgery last week and ended up being treated for endometriosis as well. I have had this fibroid for over a year now and severe cramping, since mine is submucosal 5.4cm I assumed all my pain and symptoms were due to the fibroid. But when my surgeon said I had endometriosis over most of my organs I’m not wondering if it was this that caused the pain and didn’t let me get pregnant throughout. Any experiences with similar issues?

I was diagnosed with a fibroid a year ago and Im thinking of what could’ve been the cause and looks like I fit almost all the criteria’s mentioned in the research so far, low vitamin D, obese, genetic factors. Has anyone had any success with lifestyle and diet management or losing weight after surgery that helped them from not getting it back? I’d like to pay attention to what I can control at-least.
