I’m a 12 week old male Cavalier King Charles. I love playing, running around the yard, chewing on anything I can get my paws on and most of all sleeping 😴 💤
Should I get his anal glands expressed? I don’t see anything in his poop and has had shots and dewormer. I freaked out and bought dewormer pills but never gave them to him. He doesn’t do it everyday but some days he will do it a few times a day. Should I give him the dewormer pills to be safe? Has anyone had their dogs anal glands done? He doesn’t stink or anything just the butt sliding. Thanks for the help!!
My cav is 12 weeks old and I have had him for 2 weeks. I never leave him alone and have his food and water in his crate.(also some toys) He goes in the crate fine and even plays and lays sometimes but if I close it after about a minute or less he starts freaking out and barking and crying. How can I get him to be content being in the crate alone so I can at least take an hour to bathe and stuff without bringing him along. I had a bed in there but this is when I first got him and he pooped in it. I cleaned it and left it on the porch where he seemed to show interest in it and laid in it so I brought it back in out of the cage and he layed in it for a couple days then he peed in it so I took it back outside and cleaned it and left it out there. Should I have a bed in the cage? He sleeps with me in my bed and I don’t want that to change but I need to be able to take an hour or two to do stuff without him. Any tips that worked for you guys leaving them alone or getting them used to it? I don’t want him to have separation anxiety. It would be easier if I could bring him places on a leash but he refuses to move if it’s on but when it’s off he is the perfect puppy and will follow me close, not going past me but staying by my side. All in all he is great but I just need some slight tweaking. Thanks in advance for the help!
How do I potty train my puppy with these bells I keep hearing about on peoples doors? I have no idea how to train a dog and would take any advice on any type of training since I have the time to do it right now.
I’m a new cav owner and some things he does worries me. Sleeping like this and making all kinds of noises and movements in his sleep are a couple. Is it just my puppy or is this normal for them? The tongue out of the mouth while it’s closed is worrying me the most.
