Issues with uneven dye appearance on linen

I used some procion dyes from dharma trading to dye linen clothes. As the fabrics have dried I realized there are darker and lighter areas of color on the items. I used dyers detergent to wash the fabrics, I used urea to dissolve the powder dye, I used sodium chloride and glaubers salt, I wet the fabric with the salt solution prior to adding the dye, I took out the fabric from the salt solution, and then I added the dye & mixed it in to the salt solution, I stirred the fabric for about 20 mins in the dye, I took the fabrics out, I added the soda ash liquid & mixed it in to the dye solution, then I added back my fabric to stir around a few minutes more. I did this one article of clothing at a time in smaller containers. I rinsed what I thought was enough, and hung the clothes on a rack to dry. Areas of darker coloring happened as the clothes sat to dry. Do I need to keep rinsing? Wash a long time on hot temperature? Or re dye and rinse even better the next time?
