If it seems like they're ghosting you, pretending like you've received another offer
Interviewed for a job last Tuesday in which the director seemed to love me, she even said "you seen really really nice and you fit all the qualifications" and that I'd hear back by the end of the week.
End of the week rolls around and crickets, so the following Monday I reached out to the HR person and asked if a decision was made yet. She said, "they are still interviewing candidates and we will let you know."
Still haven't heard back yet so I emailed HR again and said, "I received another offer but haven't accepted it yet, (there is no actual offer, but I do have another interview today), but I am more interested in your organization, do you know when the hiring will conclude?" She replied immediately and said she'd call the hiring manager right away to find out if they picked someone 🤭
