I’m looking for some advice on a sim racing cockpit, possibly with a monitor stand.
Right now I have:
- a Logitech G920 with pedals and shifter
- an Alienware AW3423DWF ultrawide monitor
I live in a student apartment, so I’m not sure what would be the smartest choice. I do have enough space to put a permanent setup in a corner, but a foldable cockpit also seems nice.
So I was wondering:
- Is a foldable cockpit actually worth it, or should I just go for a fixed rig?
- What works best with an ultrawide monitor: a separate monitor stand or one attached to the cockpit?
- Any recommendations that work well with Logitech gear?
My budget is flexible, but I don’t need a super high-end setup (yet).
I was also looking at something like the Oplite GTR S8 Infinity:
Would something like this be overkill for my setup, or is it worth going for a more solid rig like this instead of a foldable one?
