Very new gardener here, I think I may have made a mistake and I'm not sure what's the best way forward. I purchased and repotted some plants in preparation for my new garden, some of which I hadn't realised were seriously root-bound. These include Australian indigo, scaevola, and a goodenia that I actually had to cut out of its original pot because it was stuck.

I was given some conflicting advice, including not to disturb the roots because natives can die off quickly from that, so I repotted them as they were. After doing some further reading today, I'm worried this was the wrong thing to do and that they're really going to struggle in the long term. The scaevola is browning a bit, turning scraggly, and drying out quickly after watering, the others I only purchased and repotted 8 days ago so I haven't noticed any changes in them yet.

Should I attempt to repot them again asap, after making 3~4 incisions into the bound root structure? Or will this stress the plant out too soon after my initial repotting? Should I do something else entirely? I did try massaging the shape of the root structure at the time, it didn't seem to do much good.
