Hello, I am a german mid level full-stack and I worked in germany as an Angestellter /employee for 18 month until the company went bankrupt. So I have some csharp and javascript skills as intermediate.

In my last job as sd I earned 2700 netto without any work experiance, so I think even if the economy is down in germany I think it would not be too hard for me to find a Angestellten Job in germany if I am flexible with the location.

But the point is for private reasons I want to live in asia at the moment. I stay mostly in low cost countrys so it would be ok for me to earn only half the amount as in germany like 2000 per month before taxes would be enought.

But it seems very hard to find a remote job, even if I work for half of the salary because of the german insurance system, I think it will be impossible to have an Angestellten job in germany and live abroad. I think only solution is german or english speaking remote job for around 25 - 50 usd per hour as freelancer.

So I tried ebay kleinenazeigen and at first I had some success with small companys in germany, who dont have big budget. But sometimes they just dont pay the invoice or ghost someone also I dont have inquires at the moment.

I tell you what I tried.

Fiverr: Very few inquires for low price, maby only chance if I buy and account with good reputation, but I think I will not earn more than 15 usd per hour after costs.
Upwork: Has worked one time for around 15 usd per hour but projects get cancelled very often and takes a long time to find a new job and ghosting very common.
Kleinanzeigen: Works good for small companies or startups but very few jobs nation wide.
Linkedin/Xing: Havent tried.
Agencys: Only ghosting.
Freelancemap germany: Many open projects with good hour prices, but very few answers. I am suspicious if these projects are fakes?
Stepstone/Arbeitsamt: Few 100% remote and only as employed which I think will not be allowed to work for long time travel.

So these not really as successfully as I thought. What I could try in the future:

Xing/Stepstone with german and american companies.
Try to find a german company which hires people as employed in german but sends them to asia, f.e. china.
Just be in germany in the summer and do some short term work like construction helper or time works / zeitarbeit and try to save most of the money and dont work in asia.

Please tell me your thoughts and tips about what can be realistic. But please dont say like you must charge 80 Euro or more as a serious software developer because it will be impossible to get such a expert level job, lets be realistic what I can do to improve my situation, if I dont want to be in germany most of the time.

Thank you.
