Hi! I’m posting because I’m feeling totally defeated.
I would probably describe myself as “skinny fat.” I’m currently 127 pounds, but I feel really soft and I’m trying so hard to tone up.
About 6 weeks ago, I started a workout program. I’m lifting 3x a week for about 35 minutes, and on the other days I’m doing 30 minutes on the treadmill at a 12.5% incline and 3.5 MPH. I take one rest day a week. I also have 3 kids under 3, so I’m constantly moving all day.
I’ve been tracking calories, staying around 1,500 to 1,600 a day, and I haven’t missed a workout. From what I’ve researched, that should put me in about a 400 to 500 calorie deficit.
I have PCOS, I’m 6 months postpartum, and I’m not breastfeeding, so I know my body may just be taking longer, but I’m honestly so frustrated. I feel like I should be seeing more physical changes by now, and I’m just not.
Has anyone else gone through this? Is 6 weeks still too early to really see a difference, especially with PCOS/postpartum hormones?
Progression photos for reference. You won't hurt my feelings!
